Jungle tours, world class fishing and wildlife

A Triple Dare adventure in Costa Rica offers both adventure and relaxation. The Costa Rican forests are home to thousands of different plants and animals, claiming more than 5% of the planet’s total species. The entire U.S., Canada and all of Europe combined claim less than 2%. Exotic animals ranging from poison dart frogs to crocodiles, howler monkeys and tree sloths make their homes in Costa Rica’s rainforests.

Many adventure travel companies offer ecotours, wildlife viewing and daring sporting adventures in Costa Rica. Triple Dare offers more. Our base camp destination is described my National Geographic as “one of the most ecologically intense places on earth.” Located on a remote peninsula on the southern Pacific shores, the area is surrounded by a canopied rainforest that contains hidden waterfalls, sheltered coves that can only be reached by boat or kayak and long stretches of magnificent beaches.

As with all Triple Dare adventures, travelers will enjoy the experience of sharing stories with the locals – “Ticos” who are very friendly and quick to demonstrate what makes Costa Rica such a special place. Pura Vida!

For those wishing to push themselves a bit farther, the option of raising adrenalin by zooming over the jungle canopy on a zip line, hooking a 200 pound leaping sailfish and whitewater rafting are all available. Triple Dare has longstanding relationships with local river guides who are experts at navigating smooth family paddles, ferocious Class V rapids and everything in between.

Your Costa Rican adventure will be customized so that, at the end of the day, you can relax at a spa with excellent dining and poolside cocktail service—or, you can sleep in the rainforest, where you’ll rest alongside more than 3,000 species of butterflies and more than 10,000 type of flora and fauna.

"Triple Dare arranged a custom 10-person classmate reunion in Costa Rica. We knew it would be the trip of a lifetime but we surprised by how Triple Dare provided more excitement and relaxation than any of us could imagine. We experienced many ‘firsts,’ including: flying over the jungle on a rope, landing a marlin and diving with whales. In just one trip, we experienced more jaw-opening “Wow!” moments than many people do in an entire lifetime. We cant’ wait to go again!"

"Pure and raw adventure… Hacking through thick jungle growth, sleeping in bat infested caves and walking ancient Mayan paths, Jim Newman of Triple Dare put together a team of experiences adventure guides to provide guide services for a film crew to document a recently discovered ancient Mayan city deep in the virgin jungle of Belize. No maps, trail markers, campsites or guidebooks existed for this part of the world. Only core experience provided the necessary skills to deliver the crew into a hidden valley filled with Mayan structures and temples—a mysterious and real archeological treasure. It was an unforgettable experience to be a part of this trek. Pure and raw adventure!"
