Treks in the Himalayas are Triple Dare's most challenging and physically rewarding adventures. We offer tour packages from five to nine days, trekking packages from eighteen to twenty days and expedition packages up to sixty days long.

Our most popular trip is the "Everest Base Camp Trek" with duration of seventeen days and rated "challenging." This trip is designed to fulfill a dream many people share but few ever experience: hiking the historic route to the base of the world's highest peak.

Annapurna Base Camp and the "Annapurna Sanctuary Trek" begin from scenic Pokhara and combine spectacular mountain scenery with incredible cultural diversity. The Gurung villages en route are particularly colorful and adventurers can expect to meet and be greeted by these remote ethnic tribes. This trip is rated "easy" and lasts fifteen days with a maximum altitude of 4,130 meters (13,550 feet).

"Upper Mustang Trek" takes travelers to an ancient Himalayan Kingdom behind the mountains, which was completely closed to foreigners until 1991. The Manangi people have Tibetan traditions and a long, rich and complex history that make their villages some of the most interesting and unique destinations in all of of Nepal. The early history is shrouded in legend, myth and mystery. The duration of this trip is eighteen days with "medium" difficulty rating and has a maximum altitude of 4,090 meters.

Expeditions and treks to Tibet and India are also offered with varying degrees of difficulty and comfort. Trips can be tailored to your group's level of interest in adventure, culture and level of interactive participation desired. Triple Dare guests can opt to have a porter carry all gear and stay in "tea houses" or pack their own equipment and camp - as well as anything in between.
